President Kenyatta approves Title Deeds for Samburu

Sarara and Sapashe communities within Namunyak Conservancy receive Title Deeds from President Kenyatta

Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta administered the issuance of Title Deeds for the Sarara and Sapashe communities within Namunyak Conservancy.

The President was accompanied by Lands Cabinet Secretary, Farida Karoney and the issuance forms part of his objective to unlock the economic potential of Samburu county.

The issuance of Title Deeds is an enormous step forward and critically important recognition for Samburu land rights.

Our mission at The Sarara Foundation is to support the indigenous Samburu on their journey to self-reliance and self-sustainability. With Samburu men and women now being rightful owners of their land, they are able to use their Title Deeds to improve their lives.

A debt of gratitude to the entire Sarara Foundation team who worked really hard on this.
