Reteti House

With its captivating cliffside setting and dramatic views of Namunyak’s mountains and plains, this exclusive-use lodge allows families and small groups to experience Kenya’s pristine northern frontier in complete privacy, and on their own terms.

A deeply transformative experience

Making the most of its magnificent location, Reteti House enjoys a remote setting in Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy – which spans 850,000 acres of rare and protected wilderness.

As the lodge is a mere 10-minute walk from Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, it offers guests a front-row
seat to the remarkable conservation efforts of the
first community-owned and -run elephant sanctuary
in Africa.

Sustainably constructed with locally sourced natural materials, this haven of tranquillity echoes the landscape’s neutral tones – and envelops guests in a
light and airy atmosphere throughout.

Five beautifully appointed standalone suites – featuring spacious outdoor showers and private terraces with uninterrupted views – accommodate 8-10 guests.

In the main lodge area, a relaxing lounge welcomes unhurried downtime together, while a refreshing infinity pool overlooks the nearby elephant waterhole – which is known for frequent wildlife sightings.

Discover an abundance of wild- and birdlife on your doorstep

Framed by breathtaking cliffs frequented by Egyptian vultures, klipspringers, and resident leopards, Reteti House is the perfect platform for life-changing immersions in nature. It’s a springboard for marvelling at spectacular wildlife, and being mesmerised by the region’s incredible array of bird species.

Namunyak Conservancy is home to the second-largest population of elephants in Kenya, as well as more than 480 reticulated giraffe, the critically endangered Grévy’s zebra and a host of other species – including the fabled long-necked gerenuk!
