Sarara Foundation hosts Namunyak Community Meeting

Earlier this month, The Sarara Foundation met with the community of Namunyak Conservancy and the leaders of the various units within the conservancy.


The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the work that The Sarara Foundation has done within Namunyak Conservancy over the last 3 years. The presentation focussed on our 3 core pillars: 1) Cradle-to-Career 2) Conservation, and 3) Eco Tourism.

Jeremy Bastard, the CEO of Sarara, opened the day welcoming the community while the presentation was led by Joffy Bastard, the Chairman of Sarara Foundation and Titus Letaapo, Sarara Foundation's Director of Communities.

Various community members and leaders contributed in the form of comments and questions. The overall sentiment in the room was very positive and encouraging toward the work of the Foundation.

Representatives of Kenya Wildlife Services, National Department of Health were also present on the day. The final word of the day was Kinyua Lengachar, the Chairman of Namunyak Conservancy who praised the Foundation for the work that has been done.
