Nitangas’ Story - An Update

A few months ago, we shared the story of brave, courageous Nitangas.

A four year old girl from Namunyak Conservancy who suffered from hand contractures due to a severe burn accident.

Nitangas' progress since receiving her life-changing surgery has been remarkable! Although the doctors don’t expect Nitangas’ hand to look 100% normal because of the skin grafting that was done, her scars have healed beautifully!

She is able to grasp everyday objects, small and large, with her hand and bear weight! Nitangas engages with her peers at school, participates in classes and has blossomed into a vibrant, happy young girl. This surgery means another chance at life for Nitangas and we cannot wait to watch as she thrives from moment to moment!

Our nomadic and domestic healthcare support is designed to support women and children. We believe that it is critical to empower and support women in order to protect and manage the landscape and the wildlife that we live alongside.

We’re deeply grateful for every donation, however big or small, to provide healthcare and assistance to families in Namunyak Conservancy.
