Wellness in the Wild

Join us for a transformative week at Sarara, nestled in the remote wilderness of Northern Kenya. This is more than a retreat — it’s a soulful journey into one of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth.

22 - 28 MAY 2026

Rewild your spirit at Sarara

Set within the Namunyak Conservancy, Sarara offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with nature, encounter iconic wildlife, and engage with the rich culture of the Samburu people who have lived in harmony with this land for generations.

This is your invitation to step off the grid and return to what matters most.

Each day blends movement, stillness, and exploration – from sunrise meditations with sweeping views of the Mathews Range to guided walks through ancient forests, where elephants roam freely and silence speaks volumes. Share stories by the fire under starlit skies, nourish your body with locally sourced meals, and immerse yourself in a rhythm that is wild, slow, and deeply grounding.

The Itinerary

  • Sarara Camp & Sarara Treehouse

    22 - 25 May

The trip begins with four nights split between Sarara Camp and Sarara Treehouse. This first part of the trip is very wellness-focused and designed to immerse guests in the Sarara conservation story. Highlights include:

∙ Meeting the keepers and visiting the orphans at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary
∙ Experiencing the iconic singing wells and a manyatta visit
∙ Guided walks, horse riding, and time to unwind at camp
∙ Cultural exchange with the Samburu mamas

  • Sarara Wilderness

    26 - 28 May

Then on day five, you’ll take a private 15 minute charter flight to Sarara Wilderness for two nights. This is a more adventurous yet still very comfortable camping experience. The camp will be set up with a mix of formal guest tents with bucket showers and flush loos and then fun mesh bell tents with shared loos and showers. Sarara Wilderness is in prime big cat country where leopard, lion and cheetah sightings are common and the area is famous for its relaxed elephant herds with up to 100 surrounding the vehicles at once. This “wildlife grand finale” is the perfect way to end the trip, shifting the focus from community and wellness to exceptional wildlife viewing.
